In these photos provided by the San Francisco Zoo, a snowblower shoots snow into the polar bear exhibit, Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at the San Francisco Zoo in San Francisco. Approximately 10 tons of ice was turned in snow and shot into the polar bear exhibit to celebrate the first day of winter and to create a fun playground for two of the Zoo’s polar bears.

Acoustic Radars in Second World War

Acoustic location was used from mid-WW1 to the early years of WW2 for the passive detection of aircraft by picking up the noise of the engines.
It was rendered obsolete before and during WW2 by the introduction of radar, which was far more effective.

I’m thinking maybe it’s something to do with separating the human body from its inherent sexuality by completely altering the context? If I had to guess. Most art is as much as surprise to the creator, I think, as it is to the viewer.

Pets were not only present as paintings or models. The mummified bodies of pets have also been found in tombs. A certain Hapymen, buried at Abydos, was so fond of his pet dog that it was mummified and wrapped in linen, and placed at the side of his feet in his coffin

Stalker 2 in real life

Photos of Russian guys playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game for real. They had a lot of cool hardware like AK-47 guns and Soviet style gas masks. For those who doesn’t know the game it’s game play takes place in Chernobyl, at the powerplant blow up site and so do those guys – they play this game right in Chernobyl where the ground and some metal structures still hold unreal doses of radiation and people don’t live there yet, and it’s said they won’t in the nearest fifty years.

All this don’t stop them. This year they have better hardware, better costumes – just like a real thing. Coming from different parts of Russia and other countries just to participate or see this with their own eyes. You can check it out now.

There’s a new craze going in the world – folks take pictures of themselves partially covered with folded banknotes in the foreground. The result is combined faces of people and faces on the banknotes. The mix looks surprisingly natural for some.
